How do I ensure that I have a proper backup of the ArkWorks program?
The back-up for the ArkWorks program is a 2 step process. Click

Can I move documents into different folders, different client drawers or different
cabinets?
Yes. Right click on the document in the view window and select Re-file (move). This
will allow you to move the document.
Are there any specific requirements my scanner needs in order to work with Arkworks?
To be compatible with ArkWorks, your scanner needs to have a TWAIN driver interface.

Can I email documents to my clients from ArkWorks?
Arkworks has the ability to email any document saved in the program.
Can multiple computers share the same database?
Yes. The database can be housed on any computer. Other computers can access the
database via the IP address or the housing computer's name.
Can I edit documents once they have been saved in ArkWorks?
There are two ways to edit saved documents in ArkWorks: The Edit and Annotate function
allows you to highlight, white-out and add notes to a document without affecting
the original. The Check In/Check Out feature allows you to check out a document
in its native format, edit it, and check it back into ArkWorks.
How do I get tax returns into ArkWorks from my tax software if I don't have TaxWorks or 1040Works?
Use the print function within your tax software. Instead of using your normal printer,
choose the ArkWorks PDF printer driver. This will print a copy of the return and
store it in ArkWorks as a PDF.
